N.J. Night of Champions partners with USA Wrestling and U.S. soccer foundation to form the 2011 version of the fund raising enterprise here in N.J. on April 21 at the Historic Bernards Inn.
As the 130 plus guests dined on filet mignon and halibut , Olympic Gold Medalist Tiffany Robert Sahadak and 3 time world champion Lee Kemp ( soccer, wrestling, respectfully) told thier inspirational stories of achieving Gold at the highest level and then translating it over to everyday life of success, failure and balance.
The N.J Night of Champions Chairman and Founder Steven John Jastrabek and his wife Dr. Lin Jastrabek were moved by such great stories of personal drive and accomplishment.
Special thanks went out to the honorary chairman, Governor Chris Christie for his involvement in the evening's program, as well as Carol and Doug Kimmelman for their continued support of our mission of raising awareness and funds for the sport of wrestling and many other sports in our Olympic family. USA Wrestling partners with USA Hockey for Night of Champions in Bernardsville, N.J., 2009 NJ Night of Champions: Fuel the Dream
By Matthew Blumberg USA Wrestling
In recent years, USA Wrestling and a committee of local supporters has hosted a successful fundraising program in New Jersey called the Night of Champions. This event allowed the public to rub elbows with heroes from the Olympic family and enjoy sharing the Olympic spirit for a good cause.
Olympic Movement will be given a specially-created moment with the help of Taylor and other special guests. A live auction, featuring Olympic memorabilia and special opportunities with Team USA during 2010, will also add to the evening for those who purchase a plate. "This is a great event to show support of USA Wrestling by annual donors and supporters of the sport. It truly is a once in a life-time chance to show what the sport means to these
valuable members of the organization," said Kalofonos.
Reservations can be made by contacting Steven Jastrabek at (973) 769-1135, email@example.com or Fran Brenner at (908) 707-1236, firstname.lastname@example.org
